Sawood Pearce
Sawood is a fourth-year university student studying Graphic Design at London's renowned Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design. His degree, specialising in Advertising, has been prefaced by completing a Foundation in Art and Design at the same institution, graduating with Distinction.
Currently representing Canon UK Ltd. as a Sales and Product Specialist for Professional Imaging, his role includes presenting seminars and mentoring events nationwide, advising on professional photographic products and workflow. He has recently completed a nationwide tour alongside Rick Friedman, photographer to President Obama.
Having managed Canon UK's retail support team for the East and Midlands for over two years, he continues to execute demonstration and training programmes for retailers such as Dixons Retail and Jessops Group Ltd.
Sawood is also currently a nationwide primetime television presenter on the QVC and ITV television networks. He is qualified as a professional swimming instructor by the ASA governing body.
As a front-page freelance photographer, Sawood's work has been professionally assessed by the UK's largest assessment board AQA as being in the top five nationally. His international fine art and event photographic portfolio covers motorsport to weddings through Barcelona, Montreal, Paris and many other subjects. Sawood was an associate judge for London Fashion Week 2011's 'Best Shot' competition.
His work has been featured by The Guardian, The Times, Marie Claire TV, MSN Style, Design Week, Vogue Online, Digital Photographer to name a few, with features also broadcast on BBC Breakfast Television and London Tonight across the UK.
Sawood's design portfolio includes working with Telegraph Media Group, Sony Music UK and Ogilvy UK among others.
As a former Head Boy of one of Britain's top five performing Grammar schools, and with varied voluntary service including seven years childrens' swimming tuition, Sawood endeavours to combine a creative passion with dedication and commitment to making the most of every opportunity.
